Year One detectives hunt for bears and signs of the changing seasons

Posted on: 21st October 2019

In the grand finale of their fabulous Bear Hunt project, Year One children along with a host of volunteers set off to explore footpaths woods and our locality.

In the spirit of the story, the children found and crossed through grass and undergrowth, puddles of water and mud, chasing in out over under and through trees, pathways and bushes spotting signs of autumn.

With a myriad of colours and autumn changes were everywhere.

Building a RESPONSIBLE attitude, children also talked about staying safe on the road, in the woods, and found out other dangers such as pylons and power lines in the area. Damp and muddy they piled HAPPILY back into school. Their physical stamina and great behaviour helped along a HEALTHY enjoyment of their morning of adventure!
