No Pens Day Wednesday

Posted on: 15th October 2014

On Wednesday 15th October all pupils took part in No Pens Day Wednesday; a national event celebrating speaking and listening.

The aim of the day was to encourage the skills of speaking and listening. For one day, all children and adults in the school had to put down their pens and all lessons and activities had a focus on speaking and listening skills rather than writing skills. Reading and writing are very important and valuable skills but people are often not aware of how important speaking and listening skills are too.

Everybody had a great day and it was good fun celebrating all the ways we can learn successfully without pens and pencils!
