The school office or headteacher must be provided with a reason for all absences. Absence due to illness must be reported to the school office by 9.30am on each day of absence. Please call the school office on 01373 462718.
If your child has a medical appointment that involves them being absent for a complete morning or afternoon, evidence of the appointment will be requested.
ParentPay is Hayesdown First School’s online platform for making all payments to school – school meals, trips, clubs and other paid for items. This does not include school uniform which can be bough through Marks and Spencer’s school uniform website www.mandsyourschooluniform.com
Once a child is enrolled into school and activation latter will be sent to parents within the first week. Parents are then able to go onto the website and activate their account.
Fosse Way School is our hot meal provider. The cost of a school meal is £2.70.
All school meals can be booked through ParentPay, where you can see the menu choices and book school meals for your child. Meals need to be booked by midnight on a Tuesday for the following week. Booking can be made for a half term in advance if parents choose to do so. If you pay for school meals (children in KS2) then payments are made through ParentPay.
The school meal menu is on a three week rotation and is changed twice a year. All meals meet the School Food standards and are heathy and nutritious.

Registering for free school meals doesn’t mean your child has to eat the school lunch – there are many additional benefits! Schools receive a payment or Pupil Premium Grant for each child who is registered for free school meals. This money helps us provide extra support like additional tuition, teaching assistants and help with paying for educational visits and attendance at after school sports clubs for those entitled to free school meals. A form is available from the school office. You can also check your eligibility and register online.

If your child has been prescribed medication by a medical practitioner and needs to take this in the school day, office staff will administer this as long as you have completed and signed a Request For School To Administer Medication form (available in hard copy from the school office), which is handed to office staff with the medication.
The school is not able to administer non-prescription medication.
